Realtors have a tough job sometimes. We don’t always list or show perfect, glamorous mansions in the best areas. Sometimes, we have to put on our big girl (or boy) pants, strap on our glocks, and go to parts of town where the homes are… well, let’s just say, not as desirable. In the MLS, we will see these homes listed as “Great Investment Opportunity” or “Needs a Little TLC”… but we all know what that really means.

With Halloween coming up soon, I thought it was the perfect time to share these scary homes for sale! Save your money on going to haunted houses, and tour these for free! Here are some photos taken from the MLS of real homes, taken by real agents, that are really scary.

1. A boarded up house with “Stay Out” written in blood-red paint would be enough to convince me not to enter!

2. Of course that’s not a big giant blood stain on the floor, someone just spilled 15 bottles of ketchup is all.

3. This bathroom is missing the toilet… and it looks like squatters may have been using the bathtub as a substitute. I couldn’t even imagine the smell in this room!

4. Whereas this bathroom isn’t too bad… maybe the toilet is salvageable and the sink just needs a good cleaning.

5. What do you think Molly Maids would charge to have this cleaned up?

6. The lucky buyers of this home get to choose new flooring, and the sellers will throw in a free hazmat suit and mold remediation company to bomb the place first!

7. Keep the hazmat suit for this room too!

8. Oh my Porcelain God! Add a new toilet to the remodeling reconstruction-of-entire-house list, ASAP!

9. Let’s check out the second floor. Wait… is that blood leading up the stairs?? Nevermind…

10. This basement would make an awesome backdrop for the next Hollywood thriller! I’m thinking SAW 13?

11. Here we have a photo of a completely flooded basement. A written description just wouldn’t do it justice.

12. I guess this is what it means to be underwater on your mortgage!

13. Here’s what some agents do: don’t actually go downstairs, but give sneak peek of what to expect.

Via: Realcomp

14. Whereas other agents, like the one who took this, did go downstairs and probably saw something so creepy they could only take a pic while running back up the stairs!

15. Here’s a photo of underneath a deck. Who knows, maybe it’s the cleanest part of the house?

Via: Realcomp

16. Ahh yes. Now the under-deck photo makes perfect sense.

17. There’s nothing creepy at all about looking down an old basement stairwell to see a large man standing there.

18. Especially after he makes eye contact… NOPE NOPE NOPE

19. Lessons learned. Next time you see yellow caution tape, take it seriously!
