People may say that looks don’t matter, and it’s what’s on the inside of a person that truly matters. But inner beauty might not get the chance to shine if you aren’t keeping someone’s attention long enough for them to find out. But whether you’ve been blessed with good looks or not, you now have a secret weapon when trying to attract a mate… the outside of your home!
It’s fairly well known that “curb appeal” is an important factor when selling your house, but according to a recent study, it’s also important when you’re dating! Of the 2,000 people surveyed, 73% of them said that the exterior of a person’s home influences how much they’re attracted to them. And 86% of them think how well they take care of the outside of their home is a good indication of just how caring they’ll be in a relationship.
So if you’re in the market for love, here’s a list of the best things the survey revealed you can do around your yard that’ll increase your sex appeal:
It might seem like a basic thing to do, but 67% of respondents said that simply having a neatly trimmed yard will tip the scales in your favor.
Another 65% said that trimmed hedges are a real head-turner.
64% of those surveyed were wowed by driveways and walkways that were clean.
Around 50% of people asserted that someone who’s handy with power tools, or can fix things around the house, is more attractive than someone with an expensive car. 63% were impressed with people who could use a power drill, and 53% said someone who can rev up a mower revs them up.
And once you’ve caught their eye with your amazing curb appeal, you might want to ask them to get handy with you on the first date! You can leave the do-it-yourself days behind and turn it into a do-it-together affair, since 87% of those surveyed said they’d be into a little DIY action on the first date.
